The recently updated Apple CarPlay has a punctuation problem – it doesn’t recognize the word “period” as being the end of a sentence. It works just fine with other punctuation words, but “period” ends up being texted as the word.
12/30/22 update – the solution to this problem is to use “full stop” at the end of a sentence. It’s an odd turn of language and makes no sense, but has worked reliably and allows me to voice text safely and much more accurately.
